That depends on the make and model of the tub, and how often it is used. The Hydropool brand offers superior insulation using Therma Shield, which boosts energy efficiency. Be aware of cheap imitations that only offer perimeter insulation, and therefore lose a lot of heat, making them expensive to run. Also bear in mind that hot tubs that need the water replaced on a regular basis will be more costly to operate, as they’ll need heating from scratch more often. A self-cleaning spa will reduce the need to change the water too often.
